The Hummer's conceptualization started in 1979. It was essentially being designed for the US armed forces and was to be built as a High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Auto ( HMMWV ). At that point many firms were asked to put forth their best designs for a similar.  General Dynamics three that were chosen were, Teledyne and AM ( American Motors ) General. But this was just the start for the corporations to prove their worth.

For a few years in the northern US, market for used sedans has witnessed a no holds barred war between the used Toyota Camry and second hand Honda concord. Hence as you'd guess, General Motors engineers have taken them as an example for the total revamp of the Chevrolet Malibu.

This is where and when the electrifying ZR1 history starts. The Corvette alternative now officially called the ZR1 was first reported by one or two print and online publications who were speculating that Chevrolet was developing a superb hi-performance production version of the Corvette and were internally calling it "Blue Devil" ( named after GM Boss Rick Wagoner's alma mater, Duke School ). Wagoner is quoted as pronouncing, "I wonder what they can do for 100,000 dollars?" in a GM board meeting talking about Chevrolet designers.

In the previous years Cadillac was a little disinclined in producing smaller autos. When the market wants ultimately satisfied the automobile maker the brand may include them the ensuing products drew out small positive reaction from the customers. The Cadillac CTS has modified that trend. The Cadillac CTS is one of the finest automobiles which have been produced by General Motors.
